36th EDITION 10K PAS RAS PORT OF VALENCIA

Register for the 10k Pas Ras this December and run through Valencia’s iconic port, formerly the F1 circuit and along the promenade with spectacular views of the Mediterranean guaranteed.

There’s fun for all the family with shorter races available for younger runners and the officially-measured 10km course for over 18s with trophies and cash prizes to be won.

Race course

10k Pas Ras Race Information

The race will be held on 15 December 2024, starting at 9:00 a.m. The start (marked on the course map above as Salida) will be on Calle Marina Real de Juan Carlos I near Lanzadera. A cloakroom will be available for the exclusive use of athletes at the finish line (Meta) opposite Marina Beach Club.

The collection of the race bib and runner’s bag will take place on Friday 13 December from 12:00 to 21:00 and on Saturday 14 December from 10:00 to 21:00 at the El Corte Inglés Sports Department, Avenida de Francia store. If you are not able to collect your bib you will be able to authorise an associate, friend or relative to pick it up on your behalf.

Prizes & Trophies

There will be cash prizes of 250€ for 1st place, 150€ for 2nd place, and 100€ for 3rd place for both men and women.

There will be a special cheque worth €50 for beating the course record in both the men’s and women’s categories.

Men’s record held by Hassane Ahouchar with a time of 29:40 set in 2016.

Women’s record held by Rebeca Gil Gómez with a time of 34:57 set in 2023.

Trophies will be given to the first 3 male and female finishers in the following categories:

  • Junior (Under 20) turning 18 and 19 in the current year.
  • Promise (Under 23) who will be 20, 21 and 22 years old this year.
  • Senior (U23 to U34) who turn 23 to 34 years of age in the current year.

Veteran (Master): From 35 years of age on the day of the race.

  • Veteran A: From 35 to 44 years old
  • Veteran B: From 45 to 54 years old
  • Veteran C: From 55 years old onwards

Kids and Youth Races

After the adults’ race has finished, from approximately 10:30am, there will be under 18s races for the following age groups:

  • 500 metres for 6 to 9 year olds (who turn 6 or 9 during 2024)
  • 1000 metres for 10 to 13 year olds (who turn 10 or 13 during 2024)
  • 1500 metres for 14 to 17 year olds (who turn 14 or 17 during 2024)

Trophies will be awarded to the first 3 finishers in each of the three categories above.

Register for the youth race – it’s just 3€

For the under 18s race, parents or guardians must sign the authorisation form giving consent for their child to race and for their image to be used in any marketing material. It can be downloaded at the link above and will also be available when collecting the bib number.

TERMS & CONDITIONS 36th PAS RAS AL PORT DE VALÈNCIA                                                                                            

Art. 1. ORGANISATION.

Club Atletismo Poblats Marítims organises the 36º Pas Ras al Port de València 10k run, in which everyone over the age of 18 years old, on the day of the race can participate, whether they are licenced athletes or not.  The race takes place on 15 December 2024, and follows the guidelines established in the FACV regulations for regional level races.

Art. 2. RACE.

The course is an officially measured distance of 10kms, which means that the time athletes achieve will be valid for all those participants who have an athletics federation licence for the Valencian Community.

The route follows an urban circuit, passing through the port area, the seafront promenade and crossing the F1 rotating bridge and must be completed by athletes in a maximum time of 1 hour and 30 minutes. There will be water refreshment points at approximately 5km and at the race finish. At the start/finish area, there will be toilets, a cloakroom and a massage area.

For under 18s, there will be races with the following distances:

  • 500 metres for the 1st age category.
  • 1000 metres for the 2nd age category.
  • 1500 metres for the 3rd age category.

Art. 3. RACE SCHEDULE.

The race will be held on 15 December 2024, starting at 9:00 a.m. The start and finish area will be published on the race website (https://www.pasras.es/recorrido/) once the route has been approved by the Port Authority and Valencia City Council. The youth categories will take place once the main race has finished, from 10:30am onwards.

On the day of the race, a cloakroom area will be set up at the finish area, for the exclusive use of runners.

Art. 4. REGISTRATIONS, MAXIMUM PARTICIPANTS AND COST

Adult’s race.

Registrations for the adult’s race can be made until 11 December 2024, at 23:59, or until the maximum of 2,800 runners in the main race (or the number authorised by the health authorities) is reached, and 500 in all the youth categories.

The general registration fee is €13 plus €1 for a day licence.

A charitable contribution of €1 can be made to the Aportem Association, Puerto Solidario de Valencia (http://www.aportem.com/).

Registrations can be made through the Carreras Populares platform or, from the day to be determined and published, in the Sports section of the El Corte Inglés stores in Valencia.

Port category.

There is a special category for port personnel, and the registration fee will be €9, which includes a charitable contribution of €3 for the Aportem Association, plus €1 for the day licence.

The registration period for port personnel will be until 8 December 2024. From 9 December port personnel will be able to register in the same way the rest of the runners.

To participate in the port personnel category, it will be necessary to work in one of the companies in the port sector and registration for the race will be done through C.A. Poblats Maritims. The port category results are their own category, so will not be included in club category results or in the general age group results. This category will be limited to 500 runners.

Companies in the port sector should send an email with the details of the company and runners they need to secretaria@capoblatsmaritims.com, through which registration will be managed by means of a specific code.

Port personnel can also contact the aforementioned email address directly to request their registration code.

Youth Categories.

Registration for the youth categories can be done through the same Carreras Populares web platform as above, and, from the day to be determined and published, in the Sports section of the El Corte Inglés Stores in Valencia, or in the starting area on the day of the race. The registration fee is €3, of which €1 will be donated to the Aportem association.

Without this authorisation it will not be possible for your child to participate in the race.

Refunds.

For all registrations, the registration fee will not be refunded for any reason, except to those who have taken out the refund insurance at the time of registration.

Entries with the right to appear in the official results will not be accepted once the registration period has expired through any of the aforementioned channels, except in the youth categories.

Art. 5. CATEGORIES.

Adults.

The Organisation plans to award trophies for the first 3 male and female finishers in the following categories:

  • Junior (Under 20) turning 18 and 19 in the current year.
  • Promise (Under 23) who will be 20, 21 and 22 years old this year.
  • Senior (U23 to U34) who turn 23 to 34 years of age in the current year.

Veteran (Master): From 35 years of age on the day of the race.

  • Veteran A: From 35 to 44 years old
  • Veteran B: From 45 to 54 years old
  • Veteran C: From 55 years old onwards

Youth.

For the youth categories, the following categories are established, both for boys and girls:

  • 1st category, from 6 to 9 years old (turn 6 or 9 during 2024).
  • 2nd category, from 10 to 13 years old (turn 10 or 13 during 2024)
  • 3rd category, from 14 to 17 years of age (turn 14 or 17 during 2024)

Art. 6. TROPHIES AND PRIZES

The presentation of trophies and prizes will take place at the end of the main race. Trophies will be awarded to the first 3 finishers in each of the male and female categories.

There will be a prize for the club with the most athletes finishing the race.

For the youth categories, a prize-giving ceremony will be held once the different races have been completed. Trophies will be awarded to the first 3 finishers in each of the three categories established above.

Special category for port personnel.

For port personnel there will be an optional award category (if chosen to be included on registration) with trophies for the first 3 male and female finishers.

There will also be a prize for the most numerous port company.

As per last year, a prize will be awarded to the club or port company with the most female athletes finishing the race.

Cash prizes for the general race.

There will be cash prizes of 250€ for 1st place, 150€ for 2nd place, and 100€ for 3rd place for both men and women.

The athlete will receive the trophy corresponding to his/her category in addition to the prize money corresponding to their finishing position in the race. The athlete must be present to collect the prize.

Art. 7. BIB COLLECTION AND RUNNERS BAG.

The collection of the race bib and runner’s bag will take place on Friday 13 December from 12:00 to 21:00 and on Saturday 14 December from 10:00 to 21:00 at the El Corte Inglés Sports Department, Avenida de Francia store.

Race bibs for the children’s races can also be collected at El Corte Inglés.

It will NOT be possible to pick up your bib number, neither for the main race nor for the children’s races, on the day of the race. A system of digital authorisation will be available for those runners who are unable to pick up their bib number at El Corte Inglés, whereby authorisation can be given to a friend or family member.

The runner’s bag will consist of a technical T-shirt commemorating the 36th edition and any other gifts that the organisers may obtain.

Art. 8. SAFETY MEASURES AND MEDICAL SERVICES.

Three ambulances will be available along the route. The exact location will be published on the website as soon as the emergency plan is approved by the authorities.

Club Atletismo Poblats Marítims, as the organising entity, will take out an insurance policy to cover any possible contingencies that may arise, both for the participants themselves and for third parties. All participants will be covered by a Civil Liability insurance policy, excluding cases derived from latent illness, imprudence, non-observance of the law, etc. Also excluded are cases arising from travel to or from the place where the event takes place.

All athletes are strongly urged not to leave the marked race course.

The organising club will take out Sports Accident Insurance for the participants in the race, and Civil Liability Insurance to cover possible damages that the Organisation, participants, spectators, etc. may cause to persons, materials and/or themselves.

Art. 9. VEHICLES.

The only vehicles allowed on the race course will be those authorised by the organisers and will be duly signposted.

Art. 10. TIMING.

The race will be timed by a digital timing chip attached to the race bib.

Art. 11. COMPLAINTS.

Complaints must be made orally to the Race Referee, no later than 30 minutes after the official announcement of the results. If they are rejected by the Judge Referee, a written complaint may be submitted to the Jury of Appeal together with a deposit of 100 €. In the event of a favourable decision, the €100 deposit will be returned. If there is no Jury of Appeal the decision of the Judge Referee is final.

Art. 12. DISQUALIFICATIONS.

The organisers may require the presentation of an ID card or proof of age from any participant, if they deem it appropriate and, in the event of refusal, the participant may be disqualified.

Any person who runs without being registered or without displaying a visible race bib on their chest will do so at their own risk and will not be able to participate in refreshment posts, trophies, etc., nor will they be covered by the insurance contracted by the organisation. They will not be allowed to enter the finish line.

The medical service has the authority to withdraw any athlete who is in poor physical condition during the race.

Any athlete who does not complete the entire course, who does not wear a visible bib-chip or who folds it, or who displays unsportsmanlike behaviour, will be disqualified.

In the main race, for safety reasons, the finish line will be closed one hour and 30 minutes after the start of the race. The vehicle that closes the race will set the pace at the end of the race. Any athlete continuing in competition after the closing vehicle shall do so at his own risk.

It is not permitted (in application of Art. 144 of the RIA) to run accompanied by persons not taking part in the race, whether on foot or in any type of vehicle, nor to carry children in their arms or in buggies, nor is it permitted to run with animals, carts, etc. This prohibition extends to the entire race and especially to the finish line, and failure to comply with it will result in disqualification by the race referee.

Art. 13. ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES. 

All athletes, with the act of registering, declare they are aware and accept these regulations in their entirety, including the Disclaimer and Data Protection Statement.

By registering for the 36th edition of the PAS RAS al Port de Valencìa 2024, participants give their consent for the Federación de Atletismo de la Comunidad Valenciana (F.A.C.V.), C.A. Poblats Maritims, whether by themselves or through a third party, to automatically store, process and use their name, results, as well as their image collected during the event, by means of photographs, videos, or any other medium, and may process for exclusively sporting, promotional or commercial purposes their personal data, as well as their image during the event obtained by means of photographs, videos, etc. by means of any device (internet, advertising, etc.) and without any time limit and without any financial compensation whatsoever.

In accordance with the provisions of the Ley Orgánica15/1999, of 13 December, on the Protection of Personal Data, the participant has the right to access these records in order to rectify or cancel all or part of their content. To do so, a written request must be made to the registered office of C.A. In order to participate in the children’s races, it will be necessary to SUBMIT THE COMPLETED AND SIGNED PARENT/GUARDIAN AUTHORISATION FORM, for all minors.

The organisers reserve the right to make any changes to these regulations if they deem it necessary, and will communicate this on the event’s website or through social networks.

All matters not provided for in these regulations shall be governed by the General Competition Rules of the F.A.C.V., R.F.E.A., for the current season.
